What a first Yupoo order really costs, line by line
A CNY sticker price is roughly half the story. Here is the full cost stack, with a worked example you can adjust in the calculator.
The five cost layers
Goods, currency conversion, agent handling, domestic shipping, and international freight. Duty and VAT sit on top depending on your country and the line you choose.
A worked example
One hoodie at 325 CNY, one pair of sneakers at 480 CNY. Converted, that is the goods layer. Add a handling fee per order, a domestic leg that is often free, then freight on roughly 2.2 kg. The number that lands on your kitchen table is usually 55–75% above the sticker price of the two items combined.
Three rules that keep it sane
Never let freight exceed the goods value on a single item. Consolidate until you have three items or more. Treat duty and VAT as certain rather than as a risk you might avoid.
