Why UGG behaves differently to every other house
UGG is comfort as a specification, and comfort has a measurable component: how much fibre is actually there. A boot with dense, evenly distributed shearling packs out and holds; a thin one flattens by the fourth week and then stays flat. Density is partly visible in the opening frame and partly a question you have to ask.
The sole is the second decision point. A flexible moulded sole reads as a slippers-style silhouette; a stouter unit is a winter boot. Neither is wrong, but they are different purchases, and catalogue photos of the outsole from above routinely hide the difference in profile.
Sizing on sheepskin is counter-intuitive and worth saying plainly: the fibre compresses. Most wearers take the smaller size for a snug fit that opens up, and the advice changes entirely for the slipper styles. Buy from the listing chart, not from habit.
