Why Burberry behaves differently to every other house
Burberry is a pattern-first brand, which makes alignment the whole conversation. The check has a fixed rhythm: stripe, band, stripe. Where two panels meet, that rhythm must continue or be deliberately, symmetrically broken. A random offset is not a design decision; it is a cutting shortcut, and it is the first thing a trained eye catches.
Trench hardware is the second area. Rings, buckles and D-shapes are turned or cast, and the difference is visible in a macro shot of the underside, which is exactly the frame sellers least often volunteer. Weight follows from the same fact, so a gram figure is a fair question.
The third is fabric. A wool-blend check scarf behaves differently to a printed cotton one - in drape, in warmth and in how the edges finish. Two listings can show the same pattern and be different products entirely.
Written for Burberry specifically. The same discipline applied to a different house produces a different list - see the brand index.
